Horrible. I would give zero stars if I could. Now don’t get me wrong, as a whole, I love Popeyes. But this location in particular is horrible. The staff are absolutely terrible. They are extremely rude and slow. The chicken is always cold and stale. French fries are also cold and stale all of the time. One incident I had a couples of weeks ago. I ordered the 3 piece chicken tender combo. The lady cashier asked me again what I wanted (after completely ignoring me in the middle of my order to speak with another customer instead of waiting till after.) I again told her the 3 piece chicken tender combo, mild. I wait and finally get my order. I check the contents inside of the takeout bag as I always do before leaving to make sure everything is there. They had messed up. Instead of chicken tenders I had the chicken PIECES (the ones containing bones and such). They also didn’t put my ranch dip in as I had asked for. I politely told the lady that I had ordered tenders and not pieces. She was extremely rude, claiming she had asked twice and it was my fault, and that she “always asks her customers twice.” I wasn’t having it, so I just told her I ordered tenders and to switch my order to the correct one. I was firm but not rude. she proceeded to roll her eyes and bark my order to the cook and another cashier. Cook says I have to wait because they are out of mild chicken tenders. (Why they don’t have chicken ready to be made when low is beyond me). I waited and while I waited I’m pretty certain the cashiers and cook were trash talking me in their native language (I’m not sure what language sorry). All I know is they were speaking in their native language and looking back and forth at me, smirking. I’m not racist, but they shouldn’t be speaking in their native tongue when customers are present. When customers are around, we should be able to understand what’s being said. Why do they need to hide it through language? English and French are Canada’s national languages. They shouldn’t be chit chatting in the first place. The staff here are always more concerned about casual chit chat with each other instead of helping customers. I finally got my order checked again (everything was there, chicken was obviously fresh this time but the fries were stale and cold as per usual). I said thank you and left. Now, I work in customer service myself so I get how it can be tough, and that’s why I am always polite to staff even if I have to wait long (i mean we all hate waiting but no point being a jerk). But these staff members are absolutely rude and horrible for no reason, other than being allowed to get away with it for whatever reason. They are lazy, entitled, and do the absolute bare minimum. It’s a shame people are being paid to be jerks and do nothing at all when people would kill to work even if it’s just minimum wage. I apologize for this being ridiculously long. I have NEVER given a review on a bad store or restaurant in my life cause I just don’t care enough to most of the time. This place is so bad I had to leave one. I hope whoever oversees all the Toronto Popeyes branches listens to our reviews as clearly the manager of this branch does not listen at all it seems. Either shut this place down, replace the ENTIRE existing staff, or put them through firm training and start cracking down. Absolutely ridiculous. I have zero plans of going back and giving these rude lazy...
Read moreTerrible customer service, NO STAR AT ALL. One winter day, we bought 8 toonies chicken with two gravy, but when we got home, there is no gravy . When we call , the manager of this location admitted they made an error, instead of offering to deliver the gravy to our home, they instead asked us to come back at their store on a winter night . That night, the comfort food was become a disappointment.
The disaster did not STOP, today , we bought again 8 toonies, but when we got home the box only contained 12 chicken, IT should be 16 chicken. You are so tired and hungry and you just want a decent dinner but this POPEYE location , ruined everything and created argument to the family ...causing to blame the father for still buying in your location rather than being appreciated for the effort of bringing dinner to home. POPEYE ALBION MALL LOCATION... you should start thinking. You are in food business and TRUST is very important, but your...
Read moreI’ve previously had issues with this location on UberEats; 4 to be clear and I had never thought to check their Google profile but coming here now to see a 3.3 rating - I am not surprised.
Every time I order a 5 piece tender combo from this location, I never receive it. Instead they will send 3 pieces of chicken. The 5 tender combo is $18.99 and the 3 piece is $17.29. When you notify Uber of the mistake, they give you a credit of $5. I don’t care too much for the bone in chicken, I would just appreciate what I ordered. I do understand that I could just go to the location and order the tender combo in person but I’ve done that and still, I somehow end up leaving the store with no tenders. I am really confused by this issue and I’m not sure if there is a disconnect in someone reading the order properly or if they just always run out of chicken tenders but it’s kind of ridiculous to...
