Sunrise Bagel — Restaurant in Toronto

Good food, won't complain but the person on the counter had something weird about her, I tried initiating conversation a bunch of times and she ignored and made faces when my friend spoke to her, my assumption was maybe she isn't having a very good day but then she called over a seemingly homeless guy to offer free coffee and gave a beautiful gleeful smile and continued to smile until she had to speak with us again for the cash which is when she had a that look of weirdness again with which continued until and through the next customer as well. we even decided to not ask her about bagel and differences between 2 because of her look which made us feel she might just roll her eyes on us which would be further embarrassing for us. The point of similarity between her customers who she smiled with vs other ? That guy who she smiled with was white, others not so much including us. I want to be terribly wrong on my assumption but, it hard to ignore. I wish she just throws in a fake smile instead of a look which is always on the verge of eye rolling and disgust at their 'pedestrian'...

Today it was a weird experience for me and someone with me. We wanted to get peanut butter jelly bagel but the lady on the counter said it's only served in the mornings. Last time I remember, just one week ago, it was during the same time we had got the bagel. I am confused, was there a reason she did not want to serve us that particular bagel or is it something else? Clarification would be much appreciated.

Update: I am thankful to the owner of the store for the swift response and we did go back to the place the next day. The lady apologized and gave us bagels free of charge. I do not know when we will go back again but i am content with how the situation was handled. I thank...
