Stop by for a quick lunch to go and bought a bbq chicken and lemon tea to try at home. The wrap I got was honestly quite terrible, the wrap was cardboardy, the meat was tough and dry, and the sauce was way too salty and had a bitter taste to it.. I threw most of it away.
As a northerner myself, the “北方烧鸡” (northern style bbq chicken) was not authentic, or good at all. It was also quite pricy, $13 for a tiny bird.
I also got a lemon tea to try, I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be good when she was reading instructions while making it, and poured some unknown ingredient from an orange jug into it… my husband and I each took one sip and just threw the rest of it out, it didn’t even taste like lemon tea, just a foul chemical taste, another $7 down the drain.
