It's possible to drive through this park along the west side of the Humber River. We took the entrance off Dundas St West - there are a few parking spots here if you'd rather walk - stopped halfway down to watch a patient heron, and a few salmon trying to swim upstream. One almost made it! There are public washrooms (open May to October). Park benches. Parking is allowed along the side of the road. We exited at Old Mill Trail. Old Mill Subway Station is a 5 minute walk from here. Lots of parking on this end - across from The Old Mill Spa ($), along the roads, and, if you cross the Old Mill Bridge, to the east side of the Humber River, at Etienne Brulé Parkette. *2024-10: there is construction here, but you can still access the parking lot. Public washrooms here, too. A beautiful spot!

Very unique spot in Toronto we frequent anytime we have work in this area with wonderful wildlife including turkey vultures, deer, coyotes, brown minks, enormous turtles and likely many more facinating creatures that we have yet to see. Love taking a lunch break here and letting nature work its magic while basking in the sound of a humble waterfall or two.

For those using a mobility device, Home Smith Park is fantastic. Well paved roadway is relatively flat and provides great views of the Humber River and several weirs. Somewhat accessible washrooms (no door openers) are midway through the park. Entrance and exit to park on a fairly steep slope, roadway closed to vehicles during winter.

The Humber river runs south to Lake Ontario in the west end of Toronto. Between Dundas St.West and Old Mill on the west side is vehicular access and parking, while the east side has walking and cycling trails. The river has carved out 100 foot cliffs on each side, heavily wooded and home to much wildlife. In late October the salmon return up the river to spawn and makes incredible viewing. Walking in the park you would find it hard to believe you are in the middle of a big city. Truly beautiful, especially as the last leaves turn yellow in the...

A large. Beautiful park along the Humber River. Easy to get to from Bloor St. And Plenty of public parking. There are canoe and kayak rental all summer under the subway train bridge. A lot of people fish and the salmon run up in fall, which is gun to see. The river is not suitable for swimming. There's Home Smith Road on the west side of the river and a bike path and separate pedestrian path on the east side. The west side is lit at night, the east is not. West side has plenty of park benches, most have fire pits. Great place for...
