This is regarding STORE: 29036 @ 2810 Major Mackenzie Dr Maple ON L6A1S2.
That store has a very disrespectful overnight manager that trains their staff to operate with disrespect and when the employee did not want to be dismissive to me the manager came and did it herself. I ordered a simple poutine, it had zero gravy in it, just cheese. I let the employee know there was no gravy on it, just the cold cheese curds and the employee then came out with gravy and told me to put the gravy on myself. I let the drive thru worker know that is not correct and requested they please complete my order. She went to get a replacement but before that her manager complained of me taking a photo before giving it back as the store requested the food back but was angry I took a photo (I have that recorded, he manager going back and forth about why I needed to take a photo of the poutine). For the replacement poutine they drowned it in gravy LITERALLY (I took a photo of that as well). Once I showed them that this is not right and clearly done out of spite, said she'd be back, closed the window and I then realized her manager instructed the staff to come out the store and serve everyone in the line manually behind me (I have photos/videos of the staff literally walking to cars and serving them) and instructing the cars to go around me as I was left there for 20 mins with no assistance. It was another vehicle that ended up getting an incorrect order--the vehicle originally behind me--prior that came back and told us that the employees told them, when they were behind us, to go around our car because we "wouldn't stop complaining". Now that we are now both out of our vehicles at the service window the gentleman is knocking to get his order replaced, the drive thru is backed up with atleast 15 cars. Once the manager sees me, still parked at the 2nd window, she says "what do you want I'm going to call the police". I had never spoken to the manager about the new poutine. I said "why would you call the police, just give me refund I no longer want anything from this establishment". Luckily I have this all recorded because this story is almost unbelievable. Your manager threatens to call the police because I am waiting for her employee to return with a resolution for an order that she admits did not look upto standard and she never came back. This was completely racially motivated and obvious at that. Why would police need to be called? The manager never acknowledged me, just told her employees to leave my vehicle there and sent them to hand deliver meals to everyone behind me and instruct them to drive around me to exit. Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting. I am so happy my passenger caught the entire ordeal on video and the car behind me graciously gave me his contact and agreed to state what the employee told him about going around my vehicle. I am sick to my stomach McDonalds hires these type of managers. Also, they refused to give me my original receipt. I noticed I was only given the receipt for the refund and waved at the employee to get my original receipt and she walked away from the...
Read moreUnreliable McDonald's Hiring Process: Missed Opportunities and Lack of Communication in Blackfalds Alberta
I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the unprofessional hiring process at McDonald's that my daughter experienced recently. I feel compelled to share our story to shed light on the lack of follow-through and accountability by the management in regards to scheduling and conducting job interviews.
My daughter, a young and eager job seeker, had applied for a position at our local McDonald's. After a few days, she received a text stating that she had successfully moved on to the interview stage. Excitedly, she responded with her availability and was promptly given a date and time.
The first disappointment occurred when she made sure to be fully prepared, arrived early, and eagerly waited for the designated interview time, only to never receive the promised call. Hours went by, our frustration grew, and yet there was no acknowledgment or attempt to reschedule.
Believing that this could be a mere oversight, my daughter decided to give McDonald's a second chance. She waited patiently until she received another text, this time with a different date and time for the rescheduled interview. However, history inevitably repeated itself. Once again, McDonald's failed to call her as promised, leaving us bewildered and feeling disrespected.
What is even more disheartening is the complete disregard we experienced from McDonald's management. There was no apology or explanation for their lack of communication or commitment. The absence of any effort to rectify the situation or even offer a second chance demonstrated a shocking level of unprofessionalism and disrespect for applicants.
The negative impact this experience has had on my daughter's confidence and job-seeking process cannot be understated. A company as renowned as McDonald's should prioritize clear communication, especially when it comes to their hiring process. By failing to follow through on their commitments, McDonald's has demonstrated a lack of respect and professionalism towards their potential employees.
After this series of disappointments and the evident lack of consideration for applicants, I can't help but question the integrity and organization of McDonald's hiring process. It is incredibly disheartening to witness a company with such potential tarnish its reputation in the minds of aspiring job seekers.
I sincerely hope that McDonald's takes our experience seriously and undertakes the necessary steps to rectify their hiring process. No applicant should have to endure the frustration, anxiety, and disheartenment that has defined our experience...
Read moreThe Manager NAOMI in Orillia at the Memorial Ave Location needs training on HOW to TREAT Customers with respect. And NOT SLAM the window on them WHILE THEY ARE SPEAKING!
Upon arriving at the drive-thru this past Saturday between 11-1130 pm I pulled in behind a vehicle that had just placed its order. I then waited at the order screen for over two minutes with no response, despite calling out “Hello.” After waiting another minute with still no acknowledgment, I drove forward to the pickup window, as the first window was closed.
An employee kindly opened the window. I explained that no one had taken my order at the speaker, and she began assisting me by answering a question about wraps and then entering my order (a wrap and a Happy Meal) into the till. At that point, the Manager abruptly intervened, telling me, “We do not take orders at this window.”
I explained that I had waited at the speaker with no response and even offered to circle back through the drive-thru so I would not inconvenience other customers, provided that my order was still processed. Instead of working with me, the Manager rolled her eyes, slammed the window shut while I was speaking, and returned only to argue further.
When I asked to pay for my order, she denied that the employee had taken it—though she clearly had—and then threatened to call the police before shutting the window again. I sat waiting with my card in hand, while other cars in line grew frustrated and even left without receiving service.
This entire incident lasted nearly 15 minutes. During that time, other orders were sitting and getting cold, and I never received the food I had ordered. At NO time was I rude, raised my voice, or acted inappropriately. I remained polite and simply wanted to pay and resolve the issue.
As someone who also works in retail, I know this situation could have been handled easily and professionally. Instead, I was met with disrespect, dismissal, and a complete refusal of service. The Manager’s conduct was unprofessional, and it left me feeling unheard and disrespected.
I am requesting that this Manager be spoken to regarding her behavior and how she represents the...
