DISCRIMINATORY ATTITUDE AND RUDE EMPLOYEE: Extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this Sephora location during my visit yesterday. I had barely entered the store and was checking out a few makeup products. I selected a product and just leaned towards a mirror at the beauty studio for just a few seconds, placing my bag on a chair to quickly adjust something and manage the items in my hand. Within moments, an employee walked up to me and snapped with a very wrong tone and attitude , “This is my service station, I just sanitized this and you can’t be here,” in a rude and condescending tone. Also to note she was profiling me from the minute I stepped in the store.
Her attitude was completely unnecessary and left me feeling humiliated and singled out for no valid reason. It genuinely felt DISCRIMINATORY and reflected a serious lack of respect and basic customer courtesy. I wasn’t touching any of the tools or disturbing anything. I was simply standing there for a few seconds.
I spoke to the store manager, who acknowledged the incident and seemed to know exactly which employee I was referring to as that employee has recently got certified as an artist. While the manager handled the situation professionally, the entire experience left a bitter impression. Sephora needs to address this kind of behavior and customers should never be made to feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or judged the moment...
Read moreI visited the store to purchase the Innisfree Green Tea Cleanser after hearing it might be slightly alkaline. Before buying, I approached a salesperson to confirm its pH level, hoping for a soap-like alkalinity. However, the first salesperson didn't grasp my question, so she consulted another colleague. The second salesperson claimed the product had a pH of 5.5, describing it as pH balanced. This conflicted with my online research, which indicated a tested pH of 9.37. Since I can only use cleansers with a soap-like pH to avoid breakouts, I initially left the store feeling confused. After further consideration, I returned to purchase the product. However, I found the overall experience with the sales team to be unprofessional. Despite Sephora's reputation for knowledgeable staff, I felt the sales workers could have handled my simple query more effectively. In my past experiences at other locations, Sephora employees have demonstrated a willingness to assist and find answers, even if they initially lack knowledge. Clear communication and a more proactive approach to addressing customer queries would greatly enhance the overall...
Read moreThe worse Sephora location to get your makeup done!! I had an appointment for future focus and wanted to get my eyes done. The girl did my eyeshadows which wasn’t so bad I asked to put on eyelashes for me also. She took very long doing the eyelashes, one of my eyelashes were up and the other down I asked her to fix and she tried to fix it, but again they look terrible one of my eye is a complete mess with full of glue. I asked her to fix that she said my time is done and she has to take someone else. She said I will ask my manager or someone else to fix it up for you. After while the manager came ( a guy) and said that my time is done and I have to leave because they have another appointment. I was soo upset and angry, and had my newborn with me I did not say anything at all because I didn’t want to ruin my mood even more! By the time I came home one of my eyelashes fell off, literally after 10 mins. I also came to do some shopping at the Sephora, but because I got soo angry and upset I just left and came home crying of disappointment, and I had to pay 63$ just to come home and cry!!...
