What a beautiful park located in the agreable Roncesvalles neighborhood, every time I go to Toronto I go to this park. I just like to sit on a banch and watching people, childrens, dogs and all the activities, the residents of this neighborhood participate a lot of the life of this park by organizing family activities, in the summer there are films screening and once a week a public market and without forgetting you people who playing tennis, baseball, running.... For myself the pumpkin ball in October is the most grandiose. Love this park 💚💚

Sorauren is a gem of a park. Great place to have a picnic or play some games in the summer. There is a decent sized dog park that is accesible all year. In the spring/summer/fall there is a farmers market ever Monday night. A new community centre that will be located at the southeast cornber of the park is currently in the design phase. It will maintain most of the current amenities but add gym and pool spaces among others.

I had mixed feelings about this neighbourhood at first, felt like another gentrified hole in Toronto BUT after spending a week visiting the park I met and saw a lot of lovely families, dog owners and children running free. There are little shops tucked into the adjacent avenues that reminds me of Sydney NSW.

A troop of crab-eating macaques lives in the south end of the park, in the bushes beside the field house. How exactly they ended up there is the subject of much speculation. Denied their natural habitat and diet, they have taken to raiding the pizza oven when Gustav The Pizza Prince is preparing complementary artisanal pies for the informal AA meeting/pickup baseball game held every Tuesday in the diamond (Go Roncy Raiders!). However there's no need to worry, the primates are mostly indifferent to the local human population unless you make the mistake (as I did) of walking past their den with a suitcase full of raw crabmeat (bought from that cool new mud crab aquafarm they've set up in the shallow end of Sunnyside pool), in which case they will steal your suitcase and, when you try desperately to get it back (stuff's not cheap), hold you down and subject you to a prolonged, humiliating bout of social grooming. Hope this has...

Parkdale community center working with fun t.o / parks and rec. Soccer houseleague for boys and gals ages 7, 8, and 9 just started. They also have baseball and t.ball going on. Lots of fun for the kids. Great way to burn energy and have fun. My son had a dance class the day after he had his first soccer game... he had a decent sleep after the game but was still so tired he basically did dancing laying down on the floor. 🤣🤭.

DeeDee is in charge and running the show. I think he's also the kids' soccer coach. Great guy. My daughter said no, she didn't want to play initially, but after watching the game on Wednesday, she was literally crying to play... since registration was no longer happening as the deadline had passed... deedee still made space for her. I just had to pay the fee that every parent has to pay for their kids to play.

I highly recommend especially if your child has no experience playing in ...

Great place to walk the dog so they can eat some of that spring grass. It has a dog park for off leash play. Be aware of multiple users and make sure to pick up after your pooch! You can find the weekly Farmer's Market on Monday evenings near or inside the "community building" depending on the season. In the summer there are community events - Movie night, etc. For Halloween there is a Pumpkin Parade. There are literally hundreds of pumpkins all carved and done up for the season - don't miss it! In the winter there is a small skating rink. In the other months there are lots of choices- 2 tennis courts, soccer field, baseball diamond and people play all sorts of sports and games on the fields. It's a beautiful park. To think it was once planned to be a nasty TTC lot is so shocking! The West End made a...
