I wish I could give these guys a better rating. They’re located in my neighbourhood which could do with a decent bike/repair shop. I have a 6-year old Danish bicycle which apparently needed its rear drum brake replaced. It sounded like a straight-forward repair job until the Brocton Cyclery folks decided to make some fundamental changes, without my consent. Instead of drum brakes, they installed external brakes that required a series of extra bike modifications. After over 2 weeks, I’ve finally got my bike back. Needless to say, I was shocked to discover two awkwardly mounted external brakes over my bike's back fender. It looked like a plastic surgery gone wrong. After I’ve asked them to do what we’ve agreed on, they claimed the internal hub actually wasn’t available. To my surprise, when I called around to other shops, I learned the hub was in fact easily available. At that point, I've decided to take my bike elsewhere. I asked Brocton Cyclery to remove all the parts they had installed and to fully refund me. Sadly, the additional repair cost of bringing my bike back to its original state has substantially increased— turning the whole situation into a truly regrettable experience. Lesson learned? Make sure to have Brocton Cyclery give you a written work order before handing your bike over to them.

Excellent products, website and staff! Haven't been able to make a trip to see the shop in person but I'm sure they would be just as helpful as over the phone. They also offer amazing inclusive group rides/camping! I need to join in on the next swift campout ride, these guys know how to maximize fun and certainly know the trade by first hand experience, so trust their advice and insight!😁 Hope to buy my first ever brand new bike from here. (Preamble flat bar is what my mind keeps telling me)

Got a flat fire while biking in the rain today and was in the neighbourhood. I gave them a call and was met with a very friendly and helpful greeting. No appointment required. Extremely fast service and their price for service was actually cheaper than I’m used to paying in the east end of downtown Toronto. I typically drop off my bike and expect a call the next day - these guys gave me same day service! Thanks for getting me back on the road so quickly. Great experience overall!

Best in the city. Not only have these folks been the most friendly, courteous, and timely when it comes to service & attention to detail; they’re incredibly resourceful and problem-solving where and when it counts - using all available materials + recycled/new components at a fair cost. Short-story time: Infinite bonus points to their tech David, who serviced a new bike of mine in the shop back in May (2025). Shortly after, the bike was stolen from me, and David kept his eyes peeled throughout that time. Miraculously, David spotted someone on the bike in the east end, managed to get it back, and ride it back across the city to the shop. David set it up again, and got it back into my possession in even better form than before. So long as I’m in Toronto, I’ll be a perpetual supporter and customer of this shop, and will continue to send riders their way!...

I recently purchased a new bike with the folks at Brockton Cyclery. They suggested a model based on my needs and I hesitated to purchase to do some more research. When I reached out they were sold out of the model. I was kicking myself for waiting but a day or two later Brockton PROACTIVELY contacted me when another unit came in! This type of service just never seems to happen these days. Then they assembled and inspected the bike and delivered it within days to my front door. Leaving me with a standing offer to reach out with any questions or swing by if any problems arise. In this day when it often feels like our transactions are with nameless/faceless companies and this was a pleasant change. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend anyone who may read this to check out Brockton as well. Keep up the great work and thanks...
