Coffee: I had a cappuccino here as part of the Indie Coffee Passport 2016. It wasn't extraordinary as I've definitely had better cappuccino elsewhere in Toronto.
Space: exposed brick with artwork on the walls and lots of tables to work. There are communal tables as well as individual ones so take your pick! They have a great patio outdoors again with both communal and individual tables (see pictures). They have free wi-fi that works great, just ask them for the password. Music is low and the place is generally quiet unless they have customers (makes it perfect for working). It's in a residential neighbourhood so the crowd is usually families. If you like the sun then you can sit at the window and look out onto the houses nearby or you can enjoy the patio.
Service: the staff are pretty laid back and are nice.
Accessibility: the door looks wide enough for someone in a wheelchair and tables are a good height. However, you may need to adjust the furniture slightly (i.e. move the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped by this place on our walk to High Park. We tried their Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Maple Syrup Latte as well as their Spinach Spanakopita. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee just tasted like any regular iced coffee and wasn't anything special. The Maple Syrup Latte had good flavour to it but was on the sweet end ( I personally liked it though). The Spinach Spanakopita was actually pleasant and was stuffed with lots of cream cheese and spinach which was nice. The barista was super friendly and talkative. The overall place has a great patio and lots of different seating options relative to the size of the shop.
One thing worth mentioning is that I most definitely saw lots of Costco Products in their freezers for sale (Frozen Piano Piano pizza, smoked salmon, etc.) that were significantly up charged. So look out for that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful spot for delicious coffee, quiet conversations or studying/reading. It's a sweet atmosphere that the whole community goes to for a step outside the house and a nice sit down. They have some interesting options for coffee and pastries/empanadas/croissant, as well as cold drinks for cooling down and still getting you the caffeine that you so desperately need. They have a patio for the warmer months with umbrellas and a huge picnic table for a larger group or to simply share with (hopefully) friendly strangers. I don't know if they have a washroom, so I can't comment on that. Maybe it's a bit expensive because it's got a bit of a monopoly in the immediate area? I think they do what they do very well. 4 stars cause I don't know about the washroom and it's just on the...
