If you see their tent at the beach while you're there, this is a fine rental service. As a warning, do NOT buy a season pass. Even booking through their website is unreliable. I should have known the first time I booked online when they cancelled my booking 30 minutes before my time when I already had arrived on the beach! There was a weather issue that day, but surely you have to communicate ahead of time for these things.
Even though they are listed as open every day from 6am to 9pm, they are not actually on the beach the whole time and they are often not available through email, text, or phone. I bought a pass trusting they would be available to contact. After multiple days of emailing, texting, and checking if they're at the beach over a long period of time, I've learned that they are not reliable at all. I honestly feel scammed. I spent about 160 dollars for 5 sessions and never once was able to plan ahead to use their service. It's like they're never available even though they say they're open every day. My recommendation to the business: don't say you're open when you're unreachable. Don't say you're open when you're not actually at the beach. Make sure people know they have to book online. Don't offer a pass since there is no way to book time online without paying (no online booking for pass holders).
I really hope I can get a partial refund and the business can rectify this because the whole thing has been a source of stress for me as I've wondered for multiple days, "Will I be able to kayak today?" And there is...
Read moreAlmost no customer service, we had to pick out our own life jackets. Thank goodness I knew to kook for the weight recommendations. We booked as a walk in and we told to come back at 3pm. Which was an hour and a half later. When we arrived at 3 pm the men were too busy getting their lunch orders than pay attention to us. We lost about 5 mins to our time. Then we had to fill out the waiver form electronically. That took another 10 mins. Wish we were told to goll this out before hsnd. We had time to do it. Then we had to wait for the guy to return from bringing someone in from the beach. More time lost. The instructions were minimal. Sit up straight, use your hips to balance, keep padfling if you don't want to tip over. Nothing of what to do if we did top over. No instruction about the whistle on the life jacket. This was our first time ever kayaking. I got the guy to adjust my petals in the kayak as I s them there and inquired. My daughter who is much shorter than I was already sent into the water without the adjustment. The water was very choppy, with no instruction as to how to navigate the water. Our time was cut down to 30 minutes from the allotted and paid for 60 minutes. Not happy with the experience at all. I want to go again with other friends but sadly will look elsewhere for a...
Read moreDon't go there. Many instances of bad customer service, just driven by greed. They trick people into coming even if the weather is bad and dangerous at sea. We called ahead of time to try and reschedule but they kept luring us in. (Of course the weather was bad when we arrived, we had to wait for two hours to wait for the rain and wind to calm down. They were a bit entitled and had an attitude when dealing with another customer in front of us. There was an accident where our friend's kayak tipped over and they didn't even try to come and rescue them at sea. Luckily there were other people who helped us. When our friend reached the banks and was lying on the beach, they did not even lift a finger and come check on them! What a lack of human decency or even courtesy?! Would not recommend at all. Will...
