We were not even planning on stopping at Mahones Bay, but we are so glad that we drove through this charming little bay village, especially the first day of October when they were doing their scarecrow festival. There were scarecrows everywhere in front of houses and shops and they were so well done! Some even included local pirate history. This town is so scenic and beautiful. We perused the Teazer gift shop that was full of beautiful things that would make lovely souvenirs or gifts.
