If you're in Mahone Bay and you want decent coffee look no further. It is not church basement coffee. We all know that coffee by now. This coffeehouse is what Starbucks wishes it could be. Been there several times and each year just keeps getting better. Owner is open to feedback. They have mastered the savory scone (finally!!! an alternative to sweets for breakfast and coffee) Whoever is ordering the books, the posters, and the reusable bags deserves a medal. Good job! THIS is it guys. Look no further and stop here. And they roast their coffee in the basement. Streamline operation with competent staff and management at the helm. If you were a publically traded company and your financials matched the work ethic you'd be a solid buy recommendation in my books. And for my readers yes I gave another coveted 5 star but if you're traveling through you gotta stop here. The place will...

Came across this great coffee house as we drove through Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. The Barn Coffee & Social house is great I had a blackberry and white chocolate scone which was to die for. We grabbed a table by the door as people came and sat and went.

The main floor has the counter area and also some tables as well as some comfy chairs. The shop was busy the whole time we were there and there was great parking on both sides of the building.

Besides the down stairs seating there is also a second floor loft similarly arranged.

Throught out the barn there are assorted collection of great curiosities. Baskets, vintage poster, old license plates and road signs.

I would highly recommend you visit if you are in the area.

As we left jyst outside the door there is an old street parking meter painted red with a sign that asked for donations to the local fire department ... what a...

I'm not a fan of espresso so it seems - so the barn burners were a disappointment to me ; but that's personal taste. Prices seem pretty decent overall. The cinnamon rolls were the best I've tried. The service - it took me two trips to finally order. The first time I was ignored (by an older gentleman waiting on customers) so I left, the second time was younger people on staff and they were great. The atmosphere is confusing as in there is a small ordering space and lots of things inside, but its also located in a tourist community and that vibe is not my strong suit. Overall, it's my first and...

Normally I absolutely love The Barn but my recent experience wasn’t so great. I bought a turkey BLT expecting it to be just as phenomenal as anything else I’ve gotten there before but opened my sandwich to see that the bacon on it was literally raw. As someone who’s worked in restaurants in the past the last thing I want to do is complain because I know how high pressure things get but this was an impressive mistake. Again, great establishment but how does one put fully raw meat on a sandwich and not notice?

This little cafĂ© is absolutely gorgeous! The vibes is nice, service is incredible, happy staff, great coffee, even wifi is good. We we t there 2 times, second one because I left my wallet, they kept it for me. We are so grateful, thanks again. 😁Almond milk lattes, London fog and Grizzly chai lattes are all delicious choices! Also smells very good, fresh bakeries and cookies.đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ Follow us on IG for more @LaptopVagabonds
