Gyro Park — Attraction in Trail

Beautiful and well maintained park right on the rivers edge. Has an abundance of perimeter foliage giving a fantastical aspect to any stroll day or night. The canteen is a great place to grab a snack when it is open. The white sand beach is also a refreshing alternative to the pool for dealing with the summer heat. Keep an eye on your youngins though because it is a river with natural currents and no designated lifeguard. 9/10 trail residents probably spend time there at some point. It is also frequented by an abundance of waterfowl, and raccoons in the night. If you are spending a day there remember to bring sunscreen and drink plenty of water. And dont pee in the river. Hey there! If you're looking for a great spot to take the fam for a walk, Gyro Park is the place to be. It's got everything you need to keep the kiddos entertained - from the spray park to the playground. And if you're feeling brave, take a dip in the Columbia River (just a heads up, it's pretty darn cold).
