Columbia Steakhouse & Bar — Restaurant in Trail

The restaurant is beautiful inside, newly renovated. Food was great. Steak was cooked perfect, seasoned well. Wedge salad was nice even though I typically don't like iceberg lettuce. Best iceberg salad I have tried.

Mushroom appi was good, Mushrooms could have been cooked a bit more as well as the seasoning. Overall food was great! The service however was the cause of the 3 star rating. We arrived at 545 for out reservation and informed the server we needed to leave by 7pm to make our show. However our main meal didn't come untill 650pm which had us rushing our food which was a shame. As well having the server come and ask for drinks took a long time close 10 mins and then over 10 mins to get our drinks. The server was also not very knowledgeable when we ask about liquor and wine types. She was over all nice however not what we would expect from a restaurant of a higher caliber atmosphere, food ingredients and prices. We seen all servers talking in a group together a few times and didn't see any of them really entertaining the guests. ( as you would expect in a high end place) I think I would return to try again because of the tasty food....

This place is almost grown up! The food is definitely a cut above even when popping in for a burger and a chicken sandwich which was stellar! I couldn’t recommend it more.

My only issue is with the atmosphere and a mild seating annoyance (Our host and another who seated a couple after us tried to sit us at a table that was right above another seated table and right behind another one. The restaurant was empty aside from the few of us. Nobody wants to sit on top of each other in an empty restaurant.)

As has been the case for ages, the newest incarnation of restaurant/bar space in what we locals call the TN suffers from an atmospheric identity crisis. The decor screams cocktail lounge, the food screams steakhouse, the prices scream aged establishment and the music screams dance club.

I have no doubt once this place adjusts their music to match their clientele and learns how to seat people this place will earn top marks.

Stayed in the hotel and walked into a small room what I thought was a Steakhouse… Well it wasn’t and a light up sign with an arrow indicating where the steakhouse was blew my mind. The atmosphere was amazing (speak east-ish) great service, food was unbelievable! Had the bacon wrapped scallops to start and a filet mignon steak with scallops and shrimp… I will say the steak was slightly undercooked, but in many steakhouses it’s easier to place it back on the grill vs overcook it, so understood! Didn’t send it back because it was still delicious! Great cut of meat! Amazing service all around, bar staff and servers were well dressed and provided prompt service!
