This park is a nice one in amongst a long line of parks in the area. Attached to Champlain heights elementary it can get hectic during school days/events so if your looking for quiet maybe head to Everett Crowley park during those times.
It loses a star since the field has a incline in some parts. If your playing badminton or volleyball you can avoid it but soccer could be affected. For baseball there is a gravel field so they got that covered at least and the school has 3 basketball courts but that's school grounds not park. It's also ok for sunbathing/yoga if that is your thing. Happily it has benches but they are usually exposed to sun so it's not much a relief.
It has a good forested area that I enjoy seeing in parks, it offers respite from the heavy sun. As mentioned it's attached to Champlain elementary so there is a good playground rated for kids (don't recall age) so toddlers should be restricted/watched. Then the trails in the area cut through between the park and school so it integrates right into the community pathways.
Overall a nice park to have around, not stellar but good for little explorers and those wanting to play small...
