This is a very beautiful garden with a variety of plants and trees and flowers and a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more or just being with nature. I truly enjoy visiting and plan to bring friends and family in the future. There is a cafe on site, and great grassy places to sit and enjoy. There is a great pond in the middle as well.
However, I have had a horrible time with buying tickets online in advance, so would advise you to buy tickets at the admissions desk. Buying tickets in advance will not reserve a space or time slot for your entry, and the support for online ticketing is non-existent, despite there being a Showpass contact on the website.
If, for whatever reason, you want to discuss the need for a refund (for example, due to unexpected illness and not being able to use the ticket), you will not have any luck or hear back with any useful information.
I spoke with someone at the admissions desk at the garden, who told me only Showpass can deal with and issue a refund, who told me they needed to get confirmation from someone at admissions to issue a refund, and now months have gone by with me periodically checking in with Showpass with no luck. I went back spoke with the admissions desk AGAIN, and was told they cannot help me, but was given the number to the admissions manager, who did not return my call.
No one can even confirm that I can or cannot receive a refund, so I have no answers one way or the other, and everyone is deflecting the responsibility. It's just an endless waiting game. If you can't tell, I am very disappointed that the garden (and the online ticketing provider) will not contact me back with any useful information about a refund on a ticket I purchased which was unused due...

We were able to park in the actual lot, although we waited approximately 15 minutes in the slow moving lineup of cars around the parking lot until a guest leaving showed up close enough to our vehicles so that we could get that next parking spot. Note arriving approximately 30 minutes before our scheduled entry time was a good thing. I doubt they're really sticky about the schedule times unless they are overbooked...
He wandered in checked out the lobby area and some of the displays interesting notes about our local forest flora, conifers and deciduous in a little display off the main lobby.
My friend and I grabbed beverages at the main entrance to carry through, nice to have a warm cup as it was a bit cool...She had a soy hot chocolate beverage and I had the large mocha.
For the next hour or so we wandered around and danced to the holiday music... Entertaining ourselves and occasionally some of the other guests of the gardens.
There were many food selections on throughout the park, including Japanese Hot Dogs... Risotto? Balls?, Chocolate dipped fruit, and much more.
We considered staying a little longer and having a hot mulled wine on the outside patio, but decided to make it an earlier evening...
