This fabulous museum/exhibition has been one of the highlights of my visit to Victoria. DON’T MISS IT! It’s a bit of a hidden gem, slightly off the obvious tourist trail but easy walking distance from other attractions. Extremely thoughtfully and well laid out rooms cover the history of the growth of the city; notable architects; regional & national building styles; the history of former residents of the building and, on my visit, an exhibition of organic building design on the Island. It has great artifacts; the bottom floor is dedicated to other great buildings in the Victoria area, and the second is dedicated to the villa itself, along with a temporary photography section.
