Iroquois Park Sports Centre — Attraction in Whitby

I come to IPSC weekly, often more often, because my son plays hockey here. I also took my kids here for swimming but I’m taking them to Whitby CRC now because the Anne Ottenbrite pool is the crappiest pool ever! Like, seriously, who designed this thing? It’s awful. It’s this weird shape, the access is terrible, the pool is tiny (you put in five rinks but could only find space for two tiny little pools in the corner?!) and the swimming facilities generally are inadequate. Maybe it’s because I’m from Australia and used to 50m pools and spacious, open, well-designed facilities but really, this place falls far short. Even the changing areas for the rinks are pretty lame, not well thought out. They also need to open a Timmy’s or something there that’s open early as us hockey parents neeeeeed coffee at 7am and don’t always get a chance to bring one with us at that godforsaken hour! lovely farm animals at this location! A wonderful place to spot white, spoiled, crusty hockey boys in their natural habitat! One time some karen/‘hockey mom’ yelled at me because i was obstructing her view of her 3 year old playing hockey! She even threw a peach at me! How insulting 😞 I ran home and cried but then i found out her licence plate was “ckey” with an “ho” handwritten in front of it to spell hockey💀 How lame can you be?? i then didn’t feel bad about myself because i realized that i wasn’t a loser! That coild possibly be the most lamest license plate i’ve ever seen and she honestly deserves to get hate crimed 😊😊 It also made me realize that i wanna leave this country cause of the hockey culture😢 Also if you ever think your a loser, just remember this lady’s licence plate and you will feel better...

What a waste of money in their swimming program. They will keep rejecting your kid to promote to the next level if you ask questions about why is your kid is not moving to the next level. Supervisor, Aquatic Services Alannah McIsaac and her Sub Ordinate Jackie Unfortunately have no manners how to talk to kids parents. They failed my kid more than 6 times in Swimmer 6 and are not willing to promote to the leadership level because of having their personal grudge. We never said anything bad.
