I used to come by occasionally when it was royal oaks and it was ok. I found out today by a friend that the name has changed and the menu is consist of wide variety. The decided to stop by for dinner after my walk, and i really glad I did. Lets start with my waitress catharine the moment she walk over to the table with such welcoming smile and greetings that was the icebreaker right away. She was very polite and very competent in answering questions about the menu.Lets talk about the meal, I'll sum it up in a few words, if you keep this up you'll dominate the restaurant business in Durham! Calamari was excellent not chewy like some other experience ive had, the curry seafood was way above excellent, very tasty! Very good portion, with real lobster! I recently spent an evening at Kings Tavern in Whitby, and it was one of the best pub experiences I’ve had in a long time. The vibe was relaxed but lively, with big screens playing the game and a good mix of music and conversation filling the air.

Emily, our server, was absolutely phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we were having a good time. She made spot-on menu recommendations, the ribs and wings special on Friday is a must-try!

The food itself was great. I went with the wings and fries special, and my friend tried the fajitas—both came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour . The drinks were well made and reasonably priced, especially with their daily specials.
