The Marshmallow Factory Inc. — Attraction in Winnipeg

I have to agree with other recent reviews—the marshmallows tasted off. If I’m being honest, they taste just like how the building the business is in smells—old and musty. Unfortunately, it seems like the marshmallows absorbed that smell and taste, which was very disappointing.

On top of that, I didn’t find the employee working during my pickup to be overly friendly. They didn’t make an effort to chat with me or share information about their products, and I was the only one in the store at the time. Small businesses should focus on community and connection, but sadly, both were lacking here.

RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY I couldn’t find a lot number on the package. I purchased the Christmas Advent Calendar a few weeks ago. While I understand you’ve done testing to address the issues, the building is old, and odors or particles might still linger in the air unless something like an ozone machine was actually used to convert oxygen into ozone into the air to help eliminate the smell. it’s evident as soon as you walk into the building that there’s an old, musty smell. My birthday cake marshmallows taste old. And the package says they will be good till December, so I'm sure they will sell these old tasting marshmallows, I'm guessing the sprinkles are old, very unpleasant and even if it's the "Mexican vanilla bean they use" then all I can say is why use it? It's not what people think a marshmallows is saposta taste like, so don't call ur products a marshmallows if it's not what it's saposta taste like. Do not buy from this company I only did cause it was cheaper, I really don't think the quality control is here. Old tasting sprinkles ruined ur reputation in my eyes. And I don't even want to taste these things when they are fresh. It says small batch right on the bag. That's means we do quality control, but it's a lie or ur just lazy. I hate these marshmallows so much. Thanks you for ruing one of my favorite things to eat. Buy the good vanilla beans you so you can have a better "marshmallow" cause that's what it says it is, just took another bite and it's horrible. Don't buy this crappy tasting marshmallows, I guess unless your from Mexico and you are a customer to the flavor of marshmallows from there. Or so I read in another answer...

I kept seeing ads for gourmet marshmallows on social media and so I started searching for a Canadian company and came across The Marshmallow Factory. I had some questions ahead of time and they were prompt with their responses once I contacted them. I put my order in on the 22nd and received them in BC on the 28th. Now, I actually don't even like marshmallows much (from the grocery store), but I couldn't resist how good these looked and man are these delicious!
