Just got back from my unfortunate visit here. I had picked out three souvenirs and took them to cash there an older grey haired woman was cutting cardboard to fit some prints in. I waited patiently for a time thinking she will tell me it’ll be a minute or anything really. But nothing I waited a significant time...nothing. She totally ignored me. I was almost going to ask if I was invisible, but just left without any interaction from her. I did notice when we walked in, she said nothing, but after two men came in, it was hello where are you from, etc. This sort of thing is nasty, I’m from PEI and no customer would get this sort of service at home! It was fully stocked, clean, and had a vast selection. From magnets, bookmarks, sleeping shirts, baby clothes to real animal fur hats/purses/jewelry/clothing and indigenous “knick-nacks.”Pelts were reasonably priced compared to the airport gift shop ($150 vs $360, $300 vs $650). If you’re a tourist purchasing anything with animal fur, make sure to ask an employee on the customs regulations for your country. For the U.S., polar bear and seal are not allowed.
