The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent. If you’re visiting Yellowknife, you must try this restaurant. It’s a must-visit! SMOKED BRISKET DONAIR ($24): The base is a flatbread topped with a generous portion of smoky-flavored brisket. The taste is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and it pairs wonderfully with the sour cream. Despite the large portion, it’s so light and delicious that you can easily finish it all. THE SHACK BURGER ($19): This burger isn’t particularly large, but it’s incredibly refreshing and pairs perfectly with a beer. The burger patty isn’t overly juicy, but it’s still very satisfying. Regular Beer Flight ($13): If you enjoy beer, you definitely need to try the beer flight. It consists of four beers with flavors that range from light to deep, each one distinct and of high quality with strong flavors. We even bought some canned beer to take home before leaving. Overall, this is one of the most satisfying restaurants I’ve visited in Yellowknife. The food is delicious, the beer is great, and the service is excellent. It’s a bit of a pity that we didn’t get to try the dinner menu, as I’m sure the fish of the day would have paired wonderfully with their beer.

Walked in just before 10pm on a Friday, place was packed, but got a table for four right away. Waitress indicated kitchen was closing in 2 minutes, quickly got us menus, we all ordered different food, meatballs, nachos, a fancy pear salad, and a poutine. Prices were a bit high, but portions were very generous, and our food was on the table it seemed within minutes. Food was about a 4/5, but service was so good I marked as a 5. Nothing wrong with the food, just not all that remarkable - put another way we'd all come back but none of us would order the same food items. We had a round of beers and one of us had a margarita, all we're outstanding. Beer at the right temperature and very fresh, the margarita had this great spicy salt rim with a huge circle of lime. Several more rounds later we closed down the place. The waitresses we're busting their butts, constantly checking in, fantastic customer service. On the way out the door the bar staff thanked us for our patronage, what a nice way to head home! Definitely call this brew pub a must visit in Yellowknife!

Well now, let me tell ya, NWT Brewing Company and The Woodyard Brewhouse & Eatery in Yellowknife is somethin’ special, alright. Walkin’ in, the atmosphere hits ya like a cool breeze on a hot day—welcomin’ and full of life. The folks workin’ there are just as friendly as can be, makin’ sure you’re treated right. Had myself a fried chicken sandwich that was so dang good, I reckon it’s the best I’ve had all year. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor—left me speechless, which ain’t easy to do! The beers looked mighty tasty too, though I didn’t get a chance to try ‘em all. But from what I saw, they’re pourin’ some real fine brews. Now, this place has got the kind of charm that could draw in a muskox from the tundra. And like that nice old Asian fella who passed out at Coit Tower, this spot might just knock you out with its goodness—only in a way that’ll have you comin’ back for more. So, five stars from this ol’ miner. If you’re in Yellowknife, you better make your way to the Woodyard. It’s a goldmine of good food, good drink, and good folks.

New review: The food seems to be better and I've had great service. Had the truffle Mac and cheese and the delicious nachos. I love both the salads. BUT there is just one bathroom for men and women to share now, which is a problem, so I try to avoid going there. Ended up there after the snow castle and went outside to pee, which is not what I look for in a restaurant.

The food was awful and the waitress didn't care. Had the veggie trio. It was unpleasant. The wasabi chickpeas were bitter and burnt. The buffalo cauliflower was just roasted cauliflower with some bbq sauce smeared on it (i think it was the sauce from the tofu korean sandwich). The brussel sprouts were greasy but okay, but it was maybe two brussel sprouts shredded up. The waitress did not care when our table complained about the chickpeas. She acted like we were wrong and didn't know what wasabi was. Last time I was there, my friend had the beet salad and it was drowning in dressing. She asked the waitress to add more greens to make it edible and that waitress also acted like my friend didn't know what she was talking about. They didn't offer to fix the food in either case and didn't fix it on request. Their motto must be "the customer is always wrong". Their chef must be...

Friday February 22nd around 6pm we went to visit this spot, unfortunately we couldn’t have the whole experience because we were literally kicked out by a manager with a terrible attitude that poorly handle a sitting assignment situation made by his host lying in our face. I don’t know what was his problem that day but we felted not welcomed and we left.

Thank you for your response, but nothing change the fact the way the manager treated/asked us to moved once we were located on the table assigned for a supposed rearrangement of tables. Yes, we waited in another high table of another section, but for the manager to call us back to be seated on the original table that he promised to us. We didn’t order anything and we kept saying to everyone that we were waiting our table. It looks like we were discriminated from that section just for being Asian, American or Latin or for wearing customary winter clothes that most of the people visiting the city is wearing, who knows what crossed this manager head. I usually don’t do reviews of places, but this was a really a sad experience and I need to stand for myself. This was the only negative highlight of my trip to the NWT and the worst treatment I have ever...
