The salt here was a bit too salty for my liking if i'm being honest. You'll find salt ponds in the desert, and guys collecting salt crystals. A salt crystal the size of a fist (or a bit larger) goes for about 1 or 2 euros. Be aware that they're brittle, not like hard rock.

This is a large area. Salt flats. It is interesting to see and, assuming your guide is a good communicator, they story behind it is good too. Might be worth swatting up before if that is not the case. Take a tour there as the terrain will ruin your car - defo don't take a hire car there...
