We stayed for a couple of nights, prior to our return home.||The building and lobby did not leave a lasting impression, however the twin room equipped with two semi double beds was adequate for our family of four (with young children). The room appeared to be recently refurbished, with a very lovely ambience and comfort and very quiet, even though facing a very busy road.The beds were firm western style, the amenities in the room very convenient.||It is conveniently located just 200 yards away from the Dongzhimen metro station, with direct access to the Airport (line 13). Worth trying one of the many restaurants on Guijie street nearby, favoured by the locals; you won't be disappointed by the quality and price.||The hotel features a basic gym and an entertainment room with a pool table. No swimming pool was seen. Breakfast was exceptional, in terms of variety and quality. TV channel selection is poor for an international style hotel like this one, with HBO the only foreign speaking channel; the signal was not good too.||However, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and will be returning. There was a slight problem with the water supply to all rooms during our 2-day stay, which resulted to a 6 hours water shortage on my last day in China. This caused some inconvenience, as I was catching the return flight back home in few hours that morning. Our complain was managed well by the manager, who offered a significant rate reduction and free breakfast for the remaining members of the family as compensation.||Overall, a good experience. Kind advise to the kind management and staff of this hotel would be to notify the residents in advance of any maintenance, which should be better planned to be carried out overnight, when the likelihood of using key services by...

This explains some of the negatives comments we saw on TA. ||True: part communication in english in challenging ( mainly with the numerous trainees, more senior staff speaks english) but in hosnesty, the kindness and efforts displayed by all staff to be helpful despite the barrer language becomes a strong plus for the hotel if your stress level is below 8 out of 10.
