TANGFU BOUTIQUE HOTEL — Hotel in Beijing

Mixed feelings are what I have about this hotel. We were first given an “updgrade” of room because the room we had booked was occupied. However, this room was not as nice as the one we had booked. On top of this, the room had a water leak from the shower which flooded all of your bathroom during the first shower. We then there given another room the day after, but still not the room we had booked. We were also disappointed with the breakfast as we didn’t see any western options which in theory they had, we also didn’t find the eastern options tasty or at the correct temperature (food was hard or not warm when it should have). The bed is a solid 10/10, friendly housekeepers, receps require time to warm up. This is a 3 storey building thus if you get a ‘view’ its more of a street and not ‘city’ view, it also means there are alot of activities(aka noise) below your window thus light sleepers beware. AC is centralised thus recommended to get a fan from them for your own comfort. Do note that bathroom/s are basically opaque too. Access to eateries within 15 mins walk( incl famous peking duck 四季, local BBQ 烤肉刘 etc) Buses(right in front of hotel) are a breeze to get around sans peak hours. Airport line to Dongzhimen is walkable within 20 mins else transfer to Dongshishitiao(walk under 10 mins) works as well but note there’re limited escalators for those with heavy bags. The best!! Excellent service, very clean and beautiful rooms, most friendly staff, nice breakfast and so much more!! Mr.Chen Chen at the reception was amazing! Very friendly, helpful, always did the best he could to communicate and understand our needs! Location is fantastic! I'm travelling with the child and within 800 m there is stadium with snow, ice-skating, kids attractions! The street full of restaurants, the subway is very close. Mr Chen Chen always booked the taxi for us and it arrived in 3 mins!! He then walked with us to the street and to the taxi just to make sure the taxi driver will understand where we are going!! Amazing service! We travel all around the world and this hotel is on the top of our list right now! We leave in Australia and will recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to travel to Beijing.
