My family of 4 totally enjoyed our stay, and we are so glad to have found this hotel as a base in Guangzhou. They have family suites that can fit 4 very comfortably.||First of all, the location is excellent. It is within walking distance to the pavilion area. It’s also tucked away from the main roads, so it’s a fairly quiet location. It is also in the middle of town so getting to the main tourist sites and shopping areas around the city centre are just short rides away.||Rooms are also stylish, well maintained and very comfortable. They are also spacious and well furnished, with fridge, bar, safe etc. Even the snack and non alcoholic drinks are complimentary, and refreshed daily. There was also a tub in our room.||Hearty breakfast buffet was included in our room rate. Food quality is good with a hot food station and fairly decent spread of Chinese and some western pastries. If the option was available at a reasonable price, it’s worth including it with your room booking.||Staff service quality is also satisfactory and attentive. We offered to tip the cleaning lady and she turned us down, which was pleasantly surprising. So yes location is great being only a couple of minutes walk from Zhujiang New Town Metro being a direct 35 mins 8Y ride from the airport, but that’s it. ||The Leeden Hotel is in severe need of renovation. Yes they have started but it really isn’t good enough. The lobby has no bar and when I asked where it was I was directed to the 2nd floor restaurant which again was characterless and in need of a facelift and yes still no bar as such. ||I asked to use the pool and was begrudgingly directed to the 5th floor but all I could find was a desolate conference centre do gave up on that to. ||My room on 26th floor was of a good size but needed some major TLC. The wallpaper is coming off the walls and dirty marks all over the vents accompanied with pubes in the very dated shower were in keeping with everything else. The safe wouldn’t lick because the batteries were dead and as for the one small can of beer and tea and water in the all inclusive free mini bar well enough said. ||After two nights I tried to express my opinions on checkout but the young girl on reception simply said she didn’t understand English so I’ll leave you with some...
