A Breathtaking Journey Above Lantau Island
From the moment you step into the cabin of the 360 Ngong Ping Cable Car, you’re transported into a world of serene beauty and panoramic views. The journey from Tung Chung across the bay to Ngong Ping village is nothing short of magical.
As the cable car ascends, the bustling cityscape of Tung Chung fades away, replaced by the vast expanse of the South China Sea and the lush greenery of North Lantau Country Park. The ride offers a unique vantage point to witness the grandeur of the Hong Kong International Airport and the majestic Big Buddha in the distance.
The cabins are comfortable and the ropeway system feels safe and reliable. It’s a smooth ride that allows you to soak in the 360-degree views without a worry. Upon arrival at Ngong Ping Village, you’re well-positioned to explore the cultural landmarks of Lantau Island, including the Po Lin Monastery and Tai O fishing village.
Whether you’re a tourist seeking the best sights in Hong Kong or a local looking to rediscover the city’s charm, the 360 Ngong Ping Cable Car is an experience you won’t want to miss. It’s a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion that I would recommend to anyone...
Read moreWe booked the crystal cabin cable car.. The weather is a major thing that should be looked at prior to booking. We were able to get a wonderful view.. the ride itself is around 30-45 mins. The wait to get on can be anywhere from 25 minutes to around 1 hour.. However there wasn't much of a wait riding back down we went up around 10am or 11 and left around 2 pm. They will take your group's picture going up, which they will try to sell you once you get to the top. The souvenir set which was a nice photo with magnets and also a snow globe with the picture inside, was roughly around $300HKD.. once your done at the souvenir shop you can walk around throughout the village and visit the giant Buddha.. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from including Starbucks.
This place is a must if you want to get the full...

Went early the day after a public holiday and there was hardly any waiting. However the queues to go up were substantial later in the day when we came back down so early seems a good move. The village at the top is just a glorified shopping centre. The climb to the statue is quite steep but doable for the reasonably fit. Overall...
