Beautiful and detailed archway that welcomes you before reaching the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. The design is very symbolic and makes for a nice photo spot. Great starting point for the whole cultural experience.

2023 August 3★ The archway leading to the Buddha is ok. While certainly a nice entrance, that is all there is. Past the entrance there are monuments of various generals cast in concrete.

Beautiful entrance to the Big Budha, this is called the south arch entrance area. There is a walkway up to the main circle. Lovely experience being here even with direct sunlight.
