Great walk from the peak galleriea station. You can park the car at the Galleria then it’s only a short walk to the walking track that leads you to the entrance of the stair climb to the viewing point. The stairs are a bit of an effort but definitely doable for able adults and kids alike. There is no food or drink up at the top but great views of both sides of Hong Kong. Really nice to get the fresh morning air up there. Brining your own water is a must is summer season and light clothing with jacket during the winter is recommend. On the trail up it’s mainly steps, could be a tad slippery in a wet day so recommended to wear good shoes or sneakers with a bit of grip. The path is well covered with trees till you get to the top. Once you are done there is always a rest stop back at the Galleria for lunch and drinks nearby. Plenty of coffee...

If there is any "best sunset spot in Hong Kong", High West would be it. Be prepared to climb up early to secure a spot. Don't just stop at the lookout point, but go a bit further, near the rocks to get a closer look. You'll have some more space and won't need to stand while waiting for the sun to set. Be sure to bring some snacks while you wait, and a handy head torch or flashlight. Once the sun sets, it will be hard to see in the dark, especially when descending down the stairs. Simply stunning views of the eastern side of Hong Kong, from Sheung Wan, West Kowloon, Kwai Chung, Tsing Ma Bridge, Lamma Island, Pokfulam, Cyberport and Aberdeen. Definitely a bucket list item for HK. Locals and visitors...

The High West is located to the west of Hong Kong island. Coming up from Morning Trail, you will find the entrance if you keep to the right. According to the sign here, you only need to walk another 600 meters and 30 minutes to get the top of the Peak.

Mountain trails have stone steps that are easier to walk on. The trail has signs that tell you how far you have gone.

When you reach the top, you will see the scenery of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, while on the other side you can see the scenery of different outlying islands, if the weather is good.

Isn't this peak great? The altitude of this peak...
