Penfold Park is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and well-maintained parks in the city. With its lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and well-manicured lawns, the park provides a serene and refreshing environment for both humans and dogs alike.
One of the best features of Penfold Park is its designated area for dogs. This area is spacious and fenced, allowing dogs to run around and play without the risk of running into traffic or getting lost. The ground is also covered with soft grass, which is perfect for dogs to roll around and play on.
In addition to the dog area, there are also picnic tables and benches scattered around the park, making it a perfect place for families to come and enjoy a packed lunch or a quick snack.
The park is also very well-maintained, with regular maintenance and cleaning to ensure that it is always in pristine condition. The grass is mowed regularly, and the flowers are tended to with care, ensuring that the park always looks its best.
Overall, Penfold Park is an excellent place for both dogs and humans to enjoy the outdoors. With its beautiful surroundings, designated dog area, and well-maintained facilities, it is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to spend some quality...
Read moreBest large dog park in Hong Kong -- better than Cyberport. It has a dedicated parking lot and water facilities, it's safely far away from traffic, it's huge, and it's well-maintained. If you come here and don't have a dog, you at least better like dogs!
That said, many people here unleash their poorly trained dogs that don't come when called -- sometimes even aggressive dogs. I've seen a dog aggressively attack another dog, and the attacker's owners still didn't put the leash on, and he ran up and attacked that same dog again later. Keep a close eye on your precious furbabies, and if you know your dog has aggressive tendencies, please don't bring them to a dog park! Even if they're on a leash, most other dogs won't be.
Note that on some days (usually Sundays) Penfold has very limited hours (9-11:30 am) due to the horse races. Check the website before you go.
The little island trees in the pond are often full of white long-necked birds, which is quite a...
Read moreI had a very enjoyable picnic day here and returned with my daughter to discover that it is also an excellent place to practice riding bicycle. We enjoyed exploring the paths, the lake and the bird life and we even found a horseshoe walking across the training track! It is easy to access by private car, private bus or taxi but it was a real pain in the arse to get back from there on foot (especially carrying a bicycle and a tired-out child). This is a real shame because the park ought to get used a whole lot more and it could be if they had the Racetrack MTR station open more often --not just on race days. The nearest MTR station is a walk to Fo Tan otherwise. On the plus side, it is a pretty quiet and...
