Leaving this review for the person who handles the non criminal record. The review doesn’t reflect any other services provided by the entry exit bureau. It’s only this one guy, who’s rude, lazy and entitled in his government job. He was off his desk during operating hours for over 30 minutes with people waiting in line and waiting. At a certain point he came back but was on the phone standing a few meters away and his colleagues even called his name saying that there were people waiting in line waiting for him (see picture). He didn’t mind, just looked at us and carried on his call loudly. After another 10 minutes on the phone, he came back at his desk, no apologies and just shouted “what do you want” in Chinese.

Essentially though, you should use a vendor and pay the minimal fee to make your lives easier. The whole place is set up so vendors can make it more efficient. They now have a complete computerized system, efficient photo taking, and a decent numbering system for waiting (there are no physical lines). I know I am probably comparing to the services 10 years ago which were much slower but honestly the SH Exit Entry is pretty good. I waited 2.5 hours in line, the guy I got to told me that I could have my visa in 3 days, I just need to move to another line and speak with his supervisor. I go to the new lineup and speak with the supervisor. Supervisor said no, 7 days. I told him 7 days is the same day as my flight. He asks if i fly in the morning or afternoon. I tell him my flight is at 12:10pm he said come pick up my visa at 9am on the same day as my flight and then I shohld go to the airport. Then he says go back to the first lineup. What a...
