东怡大酒店 — Hotel in Shanghai

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Shanghai. The room was spacious and the staff were able to communicate in English well enough to answer all of our questions. They even come around in the afternoon and hand out milk for a bedtime snack! Our room had a great view of century park and a wonderful soaking tub, and we still paid less than $100 USD per night! Quick walk to the science and technology museum metro line, too! They had a universal outlet in the room, which I thought was very considerate of their international guests....

I really like to stay here because it's clean, reliable, and close to the Oriental Art Theater, Century Park, and Science Museum metro. To be honest, we were disappointed that there wasn't a mini bar or any way to get anything other than coffee and water at 9:30 pm after a show. Good hotel, the rooms are quite big and spacious. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but the service is excellent and the hotel is well suited for foreigners. Nearby is the Century Park and not so far is the exhibition center, as well as small market rows at the Shanghai Technological Museum metro station where I was able to buy a new suitcase to replace the one damaged during the trip.
