Shenzhen Museum — Attraction in Shenzhen

The Shenzhen Museum located in Futian district is one of the city’s not to be missed gems, offering fascinating historical exhibits from the ancient to the modern and is actually three museums packed into one huge complex that is an architectural marvel by itself. The current highlight is the Pingcheng and Yungang Grottoes Art in the Northern Wei Dynasty Exhibition at the History and Folk Culture Division in Civic Centre where visitors can check out the 9 meter tall replica of Yungang Grottoes Cave 12, famously known as the “Music Cave”. that was built between 470 and 494AD in Northern Wei’s capital Pingcheng (now Datong, Shanxi Province). Located at city center, and can be accessed thru MRT Hongling stop. It's a good 2-3 hour walk, and interesting knowledge on Shenzhen history. For me, it was learning about Hakka people and Cantonese people.
