Very beautiful church. Quiet, majestic, even thought it's located on a busy street. Architecture is just fantastic. I have lived nearby, on Carrera 13 and every time I passed by this church I raised my head. Not too many people at the daily mass during the weekdays, but the atmosphere inside is always amazing. This place has also some nice history and yet, not too many tourists visit this place. Beautifully illumined at night. A must see in Chapinero. God bless local community. Greetings...

Está preciosísima joya arquitectónica, ubicada en la carrera 13 de Bogotá, muestra al mundo entero, arte, por dónde la observes, externamente es una catedral imponente, internamente un espacio íntimo para el recogimiento, adornado y decorado con la guía del Espíritu Santo. Regentada por los Frailes Dominicos del Convento de San José. Fray Hugo Silvano Orjuela, fué el encargado de su construcción, inaugurada en el mes octubre de 1959. Se venera a la virgen de Chiquinquirá, allí se encuentra su lienzo de Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá, cuya historia e imágen resaltan la grandeza del hermoso templo.
