La Romana — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Been coming to this La Romana location and the downtown location before they closed, on and off for about 6 years. Last time I came to this location I noticed a drop in quality of food and service, but I always liked the restaurant so I came back with my family again, what a mistake and waste of a breakfast that was. We ordered fried eggs and they gave us scrambled, bread was cold and tasted like the day before, the service was terrible, we mentioned right away that they got our order wrong and the waitress pressured us to eating it by saying that it would take another 20 minutes to make 4 fried eggs, not to mention we were the only people in the restaurant, seriously 20 min? Like I never fried an egg before to not know how long it would take? There are ao many good breakfast restaurants in Bogota, La Romana isn't even a shadow of what...

Después del inconveniente que tuvimos, el restaurante amablemente, respondió este comentario y me dejó un número de teléfono para comunicarme con ellos. De manera muy educada, me invitaron a visitar nuevamente el restaurante y probar un nuevo plato sin restricción, un gesto muy amable de parte de las personas que administran el lugar, lo cual me hace pensar que ante todo les gusta la cordialidad y no dejar el mal sabor en un cliente molesto.

Ayer 21 de enero 2019, fuimos con mi novio. Pedimos una limonada con hierbabuena, bastante elevada de precio $8.300 para un vaso normal, café latte, bien por el precio, salen 2 tazas. Mi novio pidió una pasta Pappardelle que apenas tenía algunos trozos de carne. Yo, pedí Liguini acompañada con primavera, que según la carta, era zanahoria, apio, calabacin, tenía buena expectativa del plato, pero a la hora de ser servido, habían aprox. 100-120 gramos de pasta blanca cocida con sabor a mantequilla y algunos trozos de zanahoria, dicho plato por $25.900. De inmediato, hablé con la administración y comentarle que me parecía un plato demasiado simple por semejante precio. La solución, añadirle más salsa (mantequilla) y listo! Decidí empacar la pasta para mejorarla en casa y salir del restaurante.

Puedo decir, que he comido mejores pastas en otros lugares que no son de renombre, y con un precio más cómodo y adecuado para lo que ofrecen, entre ellos San Marcos en Teusaquillo. Sinceramente, pagar $25.900 por comer pasta cocida con mantequilla, es una ofensa al consumidor, terminamos pagando más por el nombre, que por lo que nos comemos.
