Lineal La Frontera Park — Attraction in Medellín

If your walking try not to walk alone in any secluded area because if the cops sees you as a tourist walking alone you will get extorted like how i did. Also, walk with a picture of your passport on your phone. Long story short, 2 cops on a motorcycle rod down on me as if i was a suspect they had asked me for my identification in which i gave them my government issued ID. They stated that the ID is not valid they need to see my passport. I figured where this way going after debating w/both crooked cop i realize this was a simple shake down/ extortion so i decided to offer both cops $100 US dollars just to get them off my back which im sure that's their whole month salary if not 2. Bottom line is. Its a third world country employee doesnt get paid enough so the last resort is to extort. The park is beautiful and relaxing. However, Do not travel alone and stay in pubilc areas because the problem is not the crooks its the cops.

We love walk our fluffy dog in this park it is very convenient where it is. They take care every day in higher part (walking path) cleaning it and they just change all lights. Lower part of the park is asking for same treatment but because it is different management they don’t take the same care of the place. They leave the trash for too long and it is a problem because there are many pets coming to the park also landscaping is screaming for help weed is all around the stairs and trees are becoming owner of the walking path. Same higher part of the park has security lower park does not. I do not understand why if it is the same park they have two different management companies. Still very nice place and we love it but it will be nice both parts into the park will have same nice care.

Nos encanta pasear a nuestro perrito en este parque, es muy conveniente donde está. lo cuidan todos los días en la parte alta (sendero peatonal) limpiándolo y manteniendolo, acaban de cambien todas las luces. La parte inferior del parque está pidiendo el mismo trato, pero debido a que es una administración diferente, no cuidan el lugar de la misma manera. Dejan la basura por mucho tiempo y es un problema porque hay muchas mascotas que vienen al parque y el paisajismo está pidiendo ayuda a gritos, la maleza está alrededor de las escaleras y los árboles se están convirtiendo en dueños del sendero para caminar. Igualmente la parte superior del parque tiene seguridad, el parque inferior no. No entiendo por qué si es el mismo parque tienen dos administraciones diferentes. Todavía es un lugar muy agradable y nos encanta, pero será agradable que ambas partes del parque tendrán el mismo...

Nice organized park to walk through in the early morning with pets or solo. You can tell it’s a very well taken care of park by the area and how a lot of the trees and other stuff are maintained. From certain points, you can also see the mountains and buildings from afar. The park at times is a bit more uphill than other parts so be careful and aware especially if it had just been raining like it was when I went. There are also pretty flowers all...
