We stayed in this hotel for two nights with our three children (aged 7, 5 and 3) sharing one room. The room was simple but very clean and large enough to fit the double and three single beds. Although there was no airconditioning the temperature was no problem at all. Temperatures in the evening dropped to the low 20's (celsius) and with the two fans it was comfortable.||Breakfast was simple but effective with a choice of eggs, arepas and toast, a choice of several juices and coffee. The breakfast porch is looking out over the pool and you can enjoy birds and squirrels flying and running around. Especially the kids loved this.||Staff at the hotel are, without exception, very friendly and helpful. Although our Spanish is not the best, the staff will take all the time needed.||The loacation is not in the city center, but in a nice and friendly looking neighbourhood. Within 15 minutes walking distance is a metro station (Aquacatala) and a very large shopping mall (centro commercial Santafe). Taking a taxi to either location will cost around 6000 or 7000 pesos (2 € / 2.2 US$).||We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. Absolutely...
Read moreThis was perfect for what we were looking for - somewhere family friendly, breakfast included, great area, and friendly service. Don Carlos who was part of the staff serving food in the morning was one of my favorite people there. He gave us great recommendations on places to visit and was very attentive. He's such a gem.
The hotel had what we needed. I see complaints on some of the reviews and am sure they're from posh guests looking for luxury...you won't find this at this hotel but you have everything you need. There wasn't ac but it's cold at night so it was perfect for us. The rooms were basic but we weren't trying to spend the day in there, it was a place to rest. For the compliant on internet, it was spotty in the room but perfect in the lobby or by the pool and for us that was perfect bc it kept us off our phones and ipad.
I highly recommend this hotel for location and friendly staff and the breakfast was something I looked forward to each morning...it...
Read moreHORRIBLE. I don't recommend it. Let me start with the pros to be fair. PROS: Staff seem genuinely kind hearted. Nice part of Poblado, a little remote neighborhood that is very clean and quiet. This is an old redone house. Nice little pool, usually empty. CONS: Check in takes about 30 minutes. No taxis go here, you have to walk down the hill to get one and they are not always able to call you one. Staff very inattentive, cannot do basic things like get you more water, etc. Overpriced for value you are getting. Internet does not work. Mosquito problem. They tried to charge me almost double because I had my girlfriend stay in my room a few hours to visit...: :( crazy. The base rate is already too much but they secretly double it if you have a guest in the room! Breakfast is just a few hard croissants. Coffee doesn't have milk. Being an old house you can hear everyone in every other room
