My husband and myself drove to Brasilito beach where there was lots of parking. We asked which way to proceed and people were very helpful. As we walked to the beach a man started to talk to us and give us information about where to stay and even told us that we did not need to rent an umbrella that if we walked a bit further we would fine a good spot, which we was correct. He was selling pineapple drinks, we ordered one from him. The drink was really good. As we had our drink, we had a visitor, a squirrel that wanted to take our drink. After a while we went into the water as it was getting hot. Water was refreshing yet warm. Later we had an iguana show up as well. It was a nice beach to stay since it was not packed at all. We stayed there for several hours and returned back to the parking lot, where there were sodas (small restaurants) we ate and the food was decent. We also did some shopping. I would strongly...

Loved the tranquility Brasilito offered. Many times we had entire stretches of the beach to ourselves. Only occasionally would we get tours of horse rides go by, or once an ATV tour passed us on the dirt road. The waves are constant, but provided a beautiful background noise at our tiny home we rented. Walking to restaurants and strolls along the beach were definitely a huge plus for our get away. The Tico’s we met were incredibly nice and always offered a friendly hola back. Out of the beaches we visited in Guanacaste, Conchal, Flamingo, Tamarindo, by far Brasilito was our favorite. And the abundance of stars filling the...

PURA VIDA!!! The Guanacaste Province is such a phenomenal area of Costa Rica.

There is easy access to numerous phenomenal beaches such as Playas Flamingo, Brasilito, Conchal, and Tamarindo.

The sand is great and the water warm. Some areas are especially known for great surfboarding.

There are great hotels all along the way as well as restaurants and the local “sodas.”

Any trip there should include a visit to the Rincón de la Vieja National Park. You can enjoy numerous activities in the rainforest which has a volcano.

Everyone is so friendly and fantastic. Rent a vehicle and...
