We recently dined at Gracia La Vid, a charming restaurant nestled in coastal Brasilito, Costa Rica. Our culinary journey began with the ‘Board Feasting’ charcuterie board—a delightful assortment featuring cheddar, white cheddar with a honey drizzle, blue cheese, house-made wood-fired flatbread crackers with a chimichurri dipping sauce, fresh strawberries, blueberries, inca berries, wood-fired local sausage, green globe grapes, roasted macadamia nuts, and pickled radish & carrots. To complement this, we added the La Vid Arugula Salad, which was a standout—featuring a base of arugula & radicchio lettuces dressed with balsamic vinegar, pears, gorgonzola, and caramelized walnuts. It was remarkably fresh and easily the best salad we’ve had in Costa Rica. For our main course, we opted to share a pizza and pasta dish among our family of three. The Margherita Wood-fired Pizza was a simple yet delicious choice, accompanied by garlic sauce, red chili peppers, marinara, and parmesan cheese—an instant family favorite. Additionally, we savored the house-made fettuccine with Rosa sauce, a delightful blend of garlic sauce and classic marinara. Despite our generous portions, our bill was under $100 USD, and we even left with a to-go bag of the delicious pizza we couldn’t finish. Overall, our experience at Gracia La Vid was exceptional. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the staff provided wonderful customer service. We give this establishment a perfect 10/10 rating and look forward to returning!

This might be the best pizza I’ve ever had. We got the capers and caramelized onions but added cheese at the recommendation of the manager as the traditional style only had the red wine sauce with the onions, and added smoky crispy bacon as well. They should add that right on the menu, it was incredible. The house made chilli oil is perfect too, and they serve the pizza with sides of Alfredo, marinara, Parmesan, and red chilli flakes. The arugula salad with the house vinaigrette and Gorgonzola was excellent as well. Sicilian style restaurant… I can’t wait to come back and try the pasta Drinks were excellent too I highly recommend the passion fruit spicy margarita

Gracia La Vid is the second restaurant by the owners of Gracia Mar Vista and is a solid and long missing addition to the foodie community. The small open air restaurant has amazing decor and ambiance, and the menu is perfectly suited to relaxed dinners with friends and family. Featuring a wood fired pizza, this is not just *another* pizza joint in Guanacaste... the crust is remarkable and the pizzas, salads, and pastas are top quality and delicious. The food is complemented by a great list of wines by the glass and bottle as well as a selection of excellent local micro brews. Highly recommended.

There’s pizza … then there’s Gratia La Vid pizza !! What a pleasant surprise we found in La Vid! From the amazing folks who welcomed us, to the fabulous drinks and the food! Exceptional! We started with a red sangria and a rosemary gin & tonicwith pink peppercorns - best sangria with candied dehydrated fruit ever, and a flavourful gin & tonic whose rosemary sprig was lit afire by our waiter just before putting it in front of me. Our shared meal consisted of an arugula salad that was lightly dressed with oil and vinegar with candied walnuts and dried fruit, rigatoni bolognese that was truly some of the best I’ve ever eaten with its house-made pasta and fresh bolognese! But the piece de resistance was the wood-fired pizza margherita … arguably THE BEST PIZZA I’VE EVER EATEN!! Light, thin golden crust with crispy edges, absolutely no soggy centre, light sauce, an abundance of mozzarella cherry tomatoes and fresh basil! Keep up the good work! We will definitely be...

Our final family dinner in Costa Rica was held at Gracia La Vid. The ambience is charming with some private areas, and a large well stocked temperature controlled wine cellar. Our hostess was friendly and was proud to show us around. Frankie, the co-owner with his wife, came by to explain the special process involved in the home made pasta and pizza dough. To say the food was good is a gross understatement. We ordered two salads and they were sufficient for 5 people to share, two pasta dishes, and three different pizzas. Exclamations of delight came from every one. Frankie did not boast idly - the pasta and pizza crusts were superb. The drinks were mixed by a craftsman and In especially enjoyed my Mojito. All in all it was a memorable family parting, made special in this charming restaurant with the...
