Bistro Busola — Restaurant in Jelsa

We were in Croatia 15 odd years ago and did a tour of the Islands loved the place. We spent a week or so on Hvar and so decided to return for our first holiday since Covid. And so pleased that the food offering has so improved, Busola is a great example of this improvement. My partner had the lamb which was great but the vegetables stole the show, he doesn’t like aubergine but he loved the way they cooked it. Great Food, View, and Service it makes me quite sad thats the restaurant si so far from the main tourist stream and therefore doesnt get a lot of guests those who take the 5 min walk there will be surprised and deligted tho as the food is amazing can recommend. There arent that many people there which makes the atmosphere even better and the view is beautifull especially at the tables close...

Jako lijepo mjesto za sjesti, ali nažalost ne i za pojesti. Za predjelo smo narucili salatu od hobotnice, a dobili smo narezano povrce i na tome narezanu hobotnicu koja je bila topla, raskuhana i sve zajedno je bilo bez trunke zacina. Bili smo jako gladni pa smo si sami zacinili jelo i pojeli u nadi da ce glavno jelo biti bolje. Za glavno jelo smo uzeli dvije porcije lignji na zaru. Cekali smo jelo 50 minuta i na kraju smo dobili potpuno sirove lignje i povrce preko kojeg je bio preliven cudan umak, vjerojatno od soja umaka i cesnjaka, i to u obilnoj kolicini. Zagrizao sam prvu lignju i osjetio kako mi je pukla pod zubima. Provjerio sam ih jos par i sve su bile potpuno sirove. Jelo smo vratili, a mi se zasigurno necemo nikad vise vratiti niti prici blize od 100m. Usluga je takoder veoma losa, cak i katastrofalna. Konobarica nam je posluzila predjelo, a nakon toga je nije bilo 40 minuta i zatim je dosla s glavnim jelom koje nije imala gdje staviti jer nam nije ocistila stol pa je pitala smetaju li nam ti tanjuri koji su bili pred nama (?). Zatim ih je pokupila jer je shvatila da nema gdje na stol staviti glavno jelo. Vjerojatno najgore iskustvo koje sam ikad dozivio. Ne...
