Cipre Winery — Attraction in Općina Lumbarda

What a place!!! If you come to Korcula island is must!! Little, beautiful place Lumbarda and winery Cipre. Wine tasting is professional and great. Maybe hosts doesn’t speak fluent English, but despite of that they will teach you much more than usual you can learn about wine. Growing of wine, producing, tasting and little secrets. They are doing tha with such enthusiasm and energy that is contagious. That’s the reason why the wine is amazing. If you are white wine lover your king is Grk, if you prefer red wine Plavac is your choice, but don’t skip delicious and soft Rose. Family that puts all their heart, knowledge , experience and time to produce Mother Earth’s treasure in form of wine. It’s not just wine that’s great, but also olive oil and other products that will spoil your taste buds. In Roman times they’ll be highly rewarded with gold and land, but for them the biggest reward is your smile and satisfaction with their products...

Great stop at this family owned winery in Lumbarda. They went all out for our tasting session. From goat cheese, sheep cheese with truffles, anchovies, bread, figs with walnuts and the wine of course. One of the few wineries in Lumbarda to still have Grk wine bottles for sale at this time. This is why we came to try this special wine from this region but we were also served the rosè and red wine. We really liked the Grk and took just a few bottles. It was the best wine tasting session I have ever...

One of my favorite things about Cipre is that they don't do reservations - you literally just pop in for a tasting. Just make sure you check their opening/closing times. The lovely Pero, took us through a delicious tasting of 4 wines: Rukatac, Grk, Rose, Plavac Mali. We ordered a plate of snacks as well. The setting is absolutely stunning with glorious views of red topped roofs, olive trees and the ocean. In my view, a must visit when...
