Agua Games — Attraction in Higüey

The Agua games is a water park at the grand serenis resort which is included with your stay pr you can pay to visit it of your not at the resort. I spent three days out of my stay at the water park and all I can really say about the park is it was disappointing. The pool here is very shallow and super cold. It's basically ice water. And then the restaurant they have here is not so good. They cook all the food in the morning and then it sits out all day, so when I went for a 3pm snack everything did not taste so food since it was hours old. And then the big water slides here were fun but a couple of them need an injury warning. The toilet bowl slide absolutely destroys you when coming out of the tube enless your a little kid, because there's this ledge and if your not light enough you'll fall right off it and destroy your hip I was hurt for 2 days after that. And then there blue and orange slide on the south side of the structure also are not that safe. Every single turn on the slide slaves you into the slide and makes you feel like your going to fall out. And then there tube slides are fun but you can feel every single crack in the slide which makes you think how well maintained these slides are. And then the carpet and red one are very good and I can promise you these two will not injure you. So over all its worth visiting for a day but I'd much rather spend my time at the pool...

The kids pool for under 4's needs a little TLC, all the paint is coming off the slides and there are tiles missing so there are some sharp bits. But this did not stop my daughter having a good time. The over 4's pool is good but again there are small mosaic tiles coming off everywhere. The deep pool.should be shut down! And maintained! The concrete sides are all crumbling away and there are SO many sharp bits, I sliced my leg open whilst bobbing about with my daughter and needed medical attention. The large slides are good but the joins in the tubes hurt your back as you go down, and after speaking to other people generally throughout our holiday, several people had hurt themselves or thought they were going to go over the edge. The food is ok, but the chicken everytime we went was SO overcooked it was chewy, but what ever restaurant you go to in the hotel does the same so maybe that's how they like their chicken here! Toilets are clean There are also showers, lockers and a shop. There are lots of sun beds, but for some reason there is grass and around the sun beds there is stone! We did still go 3 times in our 2 week stay at the hotel because our daughter liked the kids pool, they have just finished refurbing the hotel so hopefully the water park is next on their list as it really needs to be closed...

Un quiero y no puedo.

Intentar evitar el bloque 11 si no queréis estar al lado de la discoteca y el teatro con la música a todo volumen. En nuestro caso, se añadió que en este mismo bloque ubicaron a la gente joven (universitarios) que tienen unos ritmos, tiempos y modales muy distintos a los que buscábamos.... conversaciones a gritos de borrachos a las 4.00 en medio del pasillo. Solo les falto liarse a golpes entre ellos por algún tema de gallitos de pelea....pero en este aspecto tuvimos suerte y no se dio el caso.

El primer día impresiona, pero luego te vas dando cuenta de la cutreria del lugar. Menos toallas, sin reponer jabones, champú o gel de baño. Las toallas comenzaban a escasear cuando al principio había de sobra, o por ejemplo, la falta de bolsas en las papeleras de la habitación....un misterio sin resolver, y no creo que sea por sensibilizar al país en el ahorro de los plásticos, ya que lo tienen todo bastante mal cuidado en este aspecto.

Antes de que se me olvide, las paredes son de papel de fumar, ya que se llega a escuchar a los vecinos, aunque solo sea una conversación de como han pasado el día.

El bufet normal, no esperes grandes platos ni una comida de buena calidad, pero es decente. Los restaurantes a la carta...dejan bastante que desear y el japones (mejor dicho, chino venido a mas) es un restaurante con espectáculo culinario en el que tardan 40 minutos para hacer arroz tres delicias, junto con un olor en la ropa que te llevas a la habitación o allá donde vayas. Creo que el mejor restaurante es el francés, donde vimos langosta y medallones de solomillo, pero donde no pudimos comer por escusas de diferente indole como.... habéis llegado muy tarde y vamos a cerrar, o... el aforo diario máximo son 65 comensales...y digo yo... no hubiera sido mejor que esto te lo expliquen nada más llegar al hotel??

Para cerrar el tema de comida, si tenéis alguna excursión de primera hora, es decir, recogida antes de las 7.00 am olvidaros del desayuno... solo tienen cafe con leche muy caliente en vasos de cubata (señores, a esa hora las tazas siguen sucias? O no existe la leche fría?) Con algo de bollería y alguna que otra rebanada de pan algo dura.

Lo peor de todo, moho en la ducha.....no creo que cueste mucho poner algo de lejía para matar al indeseable invitado.

Una cosa curiosa de la habitación, es el sensor de movimiento que apaga la electricidad cuando no hay actividad. Esto parece novedoso, pero creo que el lumbreras que lo puso no cayó en la cuenta de que cuando uno duerme, no se mueve y por lo tanto el A/C se apaga y hace bastante calor en RD.... como alternativa lo suyo seria utilizar el ventilador de techo (que que además serviría como antimosquitos) pero el problema está en que no tiene regulador de velocidad, esta demasiado fuerte y para colmo quien lo ha instalado no lo niveló correctamente y sonaba bastante. (Habitación 1130)

Otro aspecto que no nos gusto por nuestra forma de viajar, fue que el hotel esta bastante lejos de bávaro, lo que hace que pierdas una media de 1,5 horas cada vez que vayas a hacer una excursión, la cual puede llegar a 2,5 por eso de ser ida y vuelta. Por favor señores de las excursiones, lo mejor de todo para ser equitativos, es dejar al primer huésped que haya sido recogido el primero, de esa forma la excursión durará el mismo tiempo para todos, no??

A todo hay que sumarle que en diciembre del 2018 terminaron la reforma que ha convertido este hotel en un GRAND Sirenis, con una inversión total de 35 millones de dolares, en otras palabras, soy yo el dueño/inversor y seguiría invirtiendo en personal y detalles para que mis clientes no se lleven esta sensación que nos hemos llevado nosotros, ya que ahora mismo no recomendaría este hotel a ninguno de mis familiares/amigos/conocidos. Ojo, 35 millones y un NPS inferior al 6, creo que es para hacérselo...
