This hostel was one of the highlights of our month long trip, despite only staying here for one night. The hostel owner, Julio, goes above and beyond to accomodate everyone’s needs and make sure that everyone is catered for. Not only does he keep a lovely, comfortable and clean hostel, but he personally arranges trips and activities for those staying there. ||||As soon as we arrived and met the others hostel guests, Julio drove us all to see the nearby ruins and visit the hot springs waterfall before taking us all to dinner. The next day we visited the volcano, and again Julio drove a group of us there and waited whilst we did the hike before taking us to a beautiful restaurant by the lake for lunch and then somewhere to swim. The hostel itself is cosy and clean, with cooking and laundry facilities, and a lovely small garden with a swimming pool. ||||If you’re visitng Santa Ana then be sure to stay at Pool House. We saw so much more of Santa Ana than we would have if we were simply left to our own devices, and met some great people along the way. Thanks Julio for making our short stay in Santa Ana...
