Pae park — Attraction in Tallinn

The first and so far the only visit I've made to this park was on a date, so please try and take this review as what it is - a slightly biased view of a smitten young man who can barely pay attention to his surroundings, yet seems to remembber everything as beautiful and even endearing. I grew up in the center of Tallinn and thus have grown to view the Lasnamäe region with mild suspicion although my actual experience with the area is little. And that's the mindset I entered this park with. In an Uber, if anyone cares. Well great was my surprise when I found this beautiful limestone oasis in the middle of a concrete desert. The illusion only strengthened by the unbearable heat and the sun glaring from the sky. I should note here, that I am a true northerner and only barely tolerate heat. The comparison with a desert is quick to come to my mind in times like these. The trees here have not yet grown to the size where they could offer substantial shade from the sun, but here and there they do the job should you need to sit. And the road makes a nice circle around the lake for a short walk. Only issue I can find with the place is that it is forbidden, in this lake, to swim. One of the good parks in the city. The park has many amenities for sport, children, pets and just for relaxing. It's well-maintained and clean, but occasionally you may find a dog poo somewhere, especially after the winter season. Unfortunately, not all pet owners are responsible for their dogs, but also it's not a problem here, I think. The park is also the venue for many local events, like sport events, movie...

Beautiful park located in Lasnamäe. Great for walking, having picnics, for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, sports and many other activities.
