A must visit, the one who lands at king's landing rules over the country they say. You can take a ferry straight from the Market Square to the peer in front of the gate to experience the king's gate / landing. It will stop by at a few other stops before that.

Seeing the huge ferries to Estonia pass by in the narrow Kustaanmiekansalmi is most impressive from here. Watch out for the water blowing up through the put hole just after the ferry passing by, it can go well up to 5m through that if...

Amazing view at the King’s Gate. Arrived a bit too late as the sun is setting. The visit would have been perfect if you arrived earlier when there’s still daylight. Overall a very beautiful place and the place is full of rich history. Great experience and worth the hike all the way to the end to the gate if you are visiting Suomelinna. Best thing is that the visit is free!

This is usually the last stop of your Suomenlinna visit, where the historical gate opens up to the sea. It was built to welcome the king to the fortress, with steps for sitting down and admiring the view. Very picturesque and free of charge. The waterbus stops near here during summer months, but otherwise you'll need to trek back to the starting point for the public ferry.

In the eastern part of the island of Kustaanmiekka is the King's Wharf. In 1750, the Swedish king disembarked here and visited the fortress under construction. The gates were badly damaged during the shelling of the fortress by the Anglo-French fleet in 1855 and for a long time were ruins. In the process of restoration in 1998, the gate took on its original form. A wide staircase lined with granite slabs descends to the pier.
