Sapokka Water Garden — Attraction in Kotka-Hamina sub-region

Kotka is known for its beautiful parks, and Sapokka water garden is truly the peak of its magnificence.

A large park laying next to the small harbor, it harbors the greatest collection of flowers of all the parks and has a gorgeous waterfall that is at the center of it all. You can spot fish in the pond, look out over kotka from the top of the waterfall or just take a relaxing stroll past the shore in a nice forested area. Besides that it also houses some statues for the kotka sculpture route.

I recommend visiting in summer to get the most out of it as in winter the waterfall is disabled, though it has its own beauty to it.

By far one of the best parks, I have visited in all of Finland. Why though? The first reason is the awesome location of the park. Very easily assessable by both, public transport and cars. The park is situated at the tip of the island and the city of Kotka. The second reason is the very beautiful waterfall and the lake where it leads.
