Original Sokos Hotel Seurahuone, Kotka — Hotel in Kotka-Hamina sub-region

The expectations were not that high because hotel is part of S-group. However, staying here was a really pleasent surprise!! The staff at front desk was really friendly and gave us an opportunity to choose the floor we wanted to stay. Room in 8th floor was really nice and peaceful, overlooking the Sibeliuspark. Everything worked well in room. Bed was comfortable, nice water pressure in the shower, bathropes ect. Really nice! The location is perfect staying in Kotka! The city theatre just few steps away and a lovely consert there. After it we had a little snack in one of the restaurants downstairs - just what we needed with lovely service. After a gooood night sleep breakfast was also very nice, not ar all what I was expecting. The space is beautiful and everything is presented nicely. Absolutely nothing to complain, so 5...

Well. It os a big hotel in Kokta Center, close to a Galleria. My room was in need if an updating, soecially the toilet/shower. Watercrane loose, water from shower leading out on the floor. Old, dark, interiors in room and toilet. The bed was dated and not as comfortable as you can expect. Housekeeping do miss things every day. Breakfast is good, buffé. A little little of the things on buffét was different during my week stay. Meeting facility is ok. Fresch refreshmets. Garage is tight and in basement, €15/day. Restaurants (3 different) has different food offers. There is a night club, Las Palmas, closing VERY late, however i didn't hear any noice from the Club on my room at floor 7. 3 saunas on floor 8, and a small gym with one machine. Reception is frienly and helpful.

I stayed overnight Friday-Saturday at the pre Christmas time. The hotel has a good location next to a small park. The rooms are nice size and the beds provide a relaxing sleep. The shower has enough space and the floors are warm. There are three restaurants downstairs and you can find the style you like. Other restaurants also in the close neighborhood. I enjoyed the rich breakfast and the crispy bacon that was a big plus for me. The staff is nice and professional both at the reception and restaurants.
