Absolutely not worth a visit. Myself and my partner visited on the 16th Jan for one day. Cost approximately £200 for ski passes & hire. On arrival we were charged an extra 15 euros for a locker for our things and headed to the slopes.

We are both experienced skier's and knew there were only approximately 10 slopes, but thought it would be a fun day out. We were one of the first on the slopes and were initially confused why the ski chair lift was not open, and only the small T bar one was. This was extremely slow, and took a very long time to get to the top. We then ski’d to the bottom and asked when the chair lift would be open, and no one was able to confirm. Went back to the top and ski’d down another run, but then quickly figured out only 3 slopes were open, and there were no plans to open the other 2 chair lifts which provide access to the other 7 slopes. So after an hour, and going up and down the same 3 runs, we were bored. It seems ridiculous to spend over £200 to only be able to access 3 slopes. There was no warning on their website or upon arrival, and the ski conditions were good so it was confusing why they were shut.

Furthermore, the ladies bathroom was locked shut. I went back up the steps to speak to someone but no one could help.

After an hour we decided to go home, and in return to our locker we found out items chucked on the floor and someone else’s items inside. We were confused as you need a key to access the locker. Quickly learnt that every key opens every locker so completely defeats the object. I complained to the staff and received a 15 euro refund, but they did absolutely nothing about the fact that every key opens every locker.

Do not waste your time and money going to this ski slope. There are better ones up...

My family and I signed up for private a cross country skiing lesson today that unfortunately turned into a very unpleasant experience—the instructor had no interest in teaching us! My mother was struggling and fell several times right next to him, while he would just stare and say nothing, offering no advice nor help (she ended up leaving the lesson early and walking back to the ski center because she did not feel safe continuing). My father’s skis were not properly set up by the company and this did not become apparently until we were out on the trail and so we spent 15 minutes of the lesson time returning back to the ski center in order to fix it. Throughout the entire lesson the instructor was reluctant to explain any techniques to do cross country skiing, and more than anything seemed unwilling and unable to advise us. It is surely possible that a lessons here would be a positive experience, however not with the instructor we had today. A huge disappointment and certainly not worth the...

Went there on 2nd of January 2019 . And they had no available instructors there , so ...since my spouse had no previous experience in skiing , we spent 3 hours in beginners area , watching other people trying to ski , like we do . Some children there were with their parents , who taught them how to ski , so we just were around , watching and trying to do as they said . Recommend trying to order an instructor in advance if you have no experience , our visit was spontaneous , just for getting a taste of skiing for my spouse. The overall amount of people was not that huge , i didnt notice any long lines at the ski lifts whatsoever . At least at 2nd of January 2019 around...

That is a lovely ski resort close to Rovaniemi,we’ve walked there,it takes around 30 min and the view is lovely. The ski slopes are for beginners and more advanced skiers and we took our 7 years old daughter to the beginner ones and she learned how to ski in just one day. I recommended to book in advance a ski monitor if you want to learn properly because they are quite busy even though the ski slopes are not that busy, we’ve been the week before Christmas. There’s a restaurant also where you can have a break and eat and drink something. Highly recommended.

Finally I reached the lapland and couldn’t skip the opportunity to snowboard for the first time in my life. I actually thought it would be easy since I do Skateboard. FYI it’s not the same and it’s better to get classes, the staff and trainers are helpful so do ask questions before you make decisions. I couldn’t find my way properly around the snowboard but practice does the trick. There is a free slide if you are not looking to go higher up and feel comfortable (beginners options) I would recommend

This is a hill just outside Rovamieni town centre. It is great for beginners. The ski rental and lesson personal ski lesson were good. In late January the snow was powdery and perfect for a beginner and it wasn’t too busy. There were quite a few snowboarders. The hotel at the top of the lifts is fantastic with a highly regarded Lappish restaurant. There is a cafe next to the ski hire shop. You can email the ski hire shop before you arrive to book and pay for private lessons. I will go back one day.
