This was the final stop on our pilgrimage that took us from Medjugorje, to Fatima, and to Lourdes. Lourdes, for me, was the precious jewel that adorned the crown that was our pilgrimage.

Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, the views around Lourdes were spectacular. The weather was great and the people could not have been nicer. It was a picturesque finale to our extraordinary adventure.

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was something that was beautiful to behold. The Crypt was special, something not to be missed. The Basilica of our Lady of the Rosary was a wonder with captivating mosaics and paintings. The square in front of the Basilica provided for a stunning view of the entire Basilica area. The ramps to the left and right of the Basilica appeared as gathering arms, welcoming the faithful into Mary’s loving embrace. The cross and crown atop the Basilica of the Rosary dome was amazing to behold and when the light was right, especially magnificent.

We saw all that the Sanctuary had to offer and it was a total pleasure. We saw the local sites and they were wonderful. The things that stand out in my memory are; attending the morning Mass at the Grotto where Mary appeared, drinking water from the spring that St. Bernadette dug with her hands, and being immersed in those same spring waters in the baths.

Many healings have been attributed to the baths spring waters. Healing can be physical, mental or spiritual. I’m not sure if I was healed from these waters but I am very sure that I had a life changing experience, culminating from our pilgrimage. I believe my participation in the activities at Lourdes was a major contributing factor in the change. I loved being within the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. I felt very much at home and at peace in the site of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I will never forget the experience as I will carry it in my heart forever.

If you have the opportunity to visit Lourdes, do so, you may very well have a life changing experience of your own. All things are possible with God. May...

Amazingly so miraculous place 😍💘 Solem and you walk like your in heaven The underground Basilica having 5, thousand setting capacity and The trees story Mama Mary Immaculate Conception Sanctuary Lourdes France Basilica Cathedral Under the altar you can find the Cave and the Holy spring water at the Grote You can light a candle In front of the Grote. By the other side of the river You can take a bath if you want ( This is the amazing moment that you can't explain. Until to your grandkids or over Grand kids you can share the amazing stories how miraculous is. ) Bathing is only for the first 45 person. After the 45 person is just wash your hands and face. This the most sacrificing moment if you want to have bathing experience because you need to wake up early at around 4am and go to the gate waiting to open at 5Am . When it's open you need to run to be part of first 45 person in line and the bathing starting at 9 am to 10 am and in the afternoon 2 pm to 3 pm . When you come for 2am you need in line at around 11 am so that you can experience the bathing. Ps. For bathing you need to be clean first in the Hotel. Some people think bathing there is like you take a bath at home 😀. Some you smile ewww Bathing there is to be a new you. Don't bring any swimming wear. Just to be clean your self before you came there and that all mater. The rest is so amazing experiences that you can't explain and you can share to your family friends and of course your grand children 😘 💕 Good luck 🙏 🙏 🙏 You can go also to the mountain for station of the cross it's so refreshing feelings and you can feel something amazing 😍 unbelievable something like your dreaming but it's real happineng to you. Every night at 9pm the Procession of Mama Mary Immaculate...

To be clear, this is a place with two identities; first and foremost it is a place of pilgrimage and devotion for the Catholic faithful, secondly it is a world class tourist attraction for the rest of us. And I have to say it serves both sets very well. The scale is what impresses as you enter the grounds. There is an enormous paved area in front of the church so it feels like a procession as you make your ways towards it. And it is all immaculately maintained and clean. Then the church looms up perched on top of the crag with its tall spires gleamingly restored looking like a fairy-tale castle. In fact this is a church upon a church and to reach the upper level involves a lot of steps or a long ramp but the view from the upper terrace is wonderful. I had to admire the craftsmanship of the lead work to the domed roofs and the brilliant gilding of the cross. To repair the main spire stone work must have been a mammoth task. The interiors are not as inspiring but nevertheless impressive. Access is not allowed during mass. The surrounding streets are now filled with memorabilia shops and restaurants and, although pedestrianised, heave with people, taxis and coaches all making their way to the entrance. And this was late September. We arrived by train but it is a good 25 minute walk from...
