Plage de Lafitenia — Attraction in Bayonne

Very nice beach to visit with our family. There’s a beautiful lookout at the top of the path by the road showing the coastline. It’s a bit of a steel hill getting down but pathed. Also facilities are provided with life guards on duty.

The surfers seemed to enjoy it! The water was fine in August, 75 degrees F FYI.

It was a rough sand with rounded beach rocks but safe enough to walk into the surf. However, pay attention to the conditions. Waves got strong enough to roll some rocks in the tide’s.

Bonus, there’s a food truck in the parking...

The walk down to the beach and the view once you are there are pretty - dramatic rock formations in the area off to the right which is cordoned off due to rockfall; verdant hills. Un tesoro escondido en la playa vasco francesa.

Tiene aguas cristalinas y tranquila como una piscina. En un extremo hay clases de surfistas y.el otro extremo hay parapente. Es de destacar los paradores en primera línea de playa con mesas, butacas altas para disfrutar la gastronomía variada y un trago con vistas al mar! Otro dato destacado es que el ingreso el parking es GRATUITO. Escuela de surf concurrida. Hay duchas abiertas y 2 áreas de sanitarios. Guardavidas hasta las 19 horas Encontraran justo en la bajada de acceso a la playa varios comercios con todo lo q te imaginas: bañadores, toallones, juguetes de playa,accesorios, sombreros, perfumería, tablas, inflables, sombrillas ,mantas, reposeras..etc. Al salir por la ruta a las 21 hs estaban abiertos unos 15 paradores con pizzas, comidas rapidas, pintxos...y más.Ahí el aroma de la gastronomía invita a...
